I am currently investigating the role of gene duplication and divergence in shaping the regulatory network underlying salt-tolerance trait during grass evolution. In particular, I am focusing on duplication and divergence of transcription factors and their downstream target genes with emphasis on the inheritance and lost of interaction during evolution.

I am approaching this topic from a comparative genomics & genome evolution perspective.
