about
Hi, I'm Martin! Thanks for visiting my startup page.
While at graduate school I sensed the need to focus on creating things that have impact outside the academic setting. I started by paying a subscription at a community bio-laboratory in Brooklyn (named Genspace) and soon I was growing plants in the garden of my house. After raising seed capital from angel investor, it followed the acceptance of my startup into two technology incubators (Rutgers EcoComplex & Commercialization Center For Innovative Technologies (CCIT)).
Together with a group of people, we worked on sorghum genetic improvement and the creation of a cloud-based software tool.
I learned that running a startup is about managing for uncertainity and its ultimate goal is to find a sustainable business model.
